Auto-pilot mode with bipolar and BPD

Been going through things lately and I have no clue what it could be, I have bipolar and BPD. But an example, went to the store remember being there looked at one thing and went into an auto pilot mode to say and just remember looking at one thing then snapped back as I walked out the store. Like I could see the check out but not mentally there and if asked couldn’t tell you a thing. Is this normal with bipolar and bpd?

I get like this too occasionally, where I just go into what my boyfriends calls “space mode” - He could be in the middle of a sentence and all of a sudden I’ll just space out, staring out the window completely unresponsive because my mind is suddenly somewhere else - It gets so bad sometimes I wonder if I might have ADD…but I’ve never been diagnosed. I think it’s definitely normal with some meds as a side effect, but for me it was because I’d remember something from the past and actively start ruminating on it right there, no matter what was going on. Trying to work on that haha But I understand what you’re going through - feel free to message anytime if you need 🤗 ❤️
