It's been a while for me even seeing a doctor but cymbalta worked the absolute best for me because it took the physical pain out of the equation first which allowed for the mental part to work in my opinion more efficiently then when I was in a lot of pain and felt as if I couldn't physically function so how was I supposed to mentally function .... Not sure if any of that makes sense in my wording but if you haven't tried cymbalta I would definitely give it a go if possible

That’s not really a question anyone can answer for you since everyone has different body chemistry that reacts differently to each medication. Unfortunately with antidepressants (and other psych medications) you gotta experiment to see what’s right for you.

It’s not really a case like “I have a headache aspirin works” you may need to try a few different types, each for like 90 days really to find something that works for you, or works without side effects. My psychiatrist said it’s more of an art than a science finding what works, you just have to try a few, and even then it may just lose its effectiveness after a few years and you may need to find something new, at least that’s been my experience.
