Best time to take Zoloft?

Zoloft takers, what time do you take it? I’m thinking 10am bcs that way, I don’t have to worry about oversleeping on the weekends, this time is when my workplace is kind of chill, I can make sure I’ve had something to eat, etc. is this too late??

Can you help? Connect today

I usually take it around 10-11 am. No specific time, I’m just starting so I’m not feeling anything yet.

oh it doesn’t have to be at the EXACT time everyday? I take birth control and if I take it an hour later than usual, it sometimes doesn’t work the same

Sounds like you’re thinking right. As far as I understand it’s not strict like birth control, the effects are in your system for longer than 24 hours. Even if you forget for half a day, there probably won’t be any side effects or withdrawal. Just make sure not to take it too soon before your next dose, better to skip a day than double dose.

Took a high dose a Zoloft for 15 years, make sure you eat something and as long as it's within a few hours of normal it won't hurt anything. Even missing a day isn't the end of the world as it stays with your system for a while. ALSO (trigger warning) don't accidently chew one you WILL throw up!

I literally chewed one today after I brushed my teeth and it made my mouth and tongue numb, very weird😂

Be careful with the side effects of this drug. Read the labels and if you experience them talk to your doctor about a different treatment.

I just do it before bed. Saves me from forgetting. Joining that with a habit will make sure you actually take it, and I go to sleep every night! I take other medication when I wake up and that's not as good of a trigger for me. But like others said, the most important is that you do take it.

When I was on Zoloft I usually took it in the night (not common I know) because it was when I usually woke up or remembered to take it

In the morning when I wake up, so it's not at set time, as I get up very early for work and sleep longer on days off. I found that I could not sleep if I was taking it at night
