Taking it slooooooow. I’ve found that, when I allow myself to adequately and rest guilt-free, I gain a lot more motivation for the things I need to do (chores, errands, etc). I also know how satisfied I’ll feel when they’re over, even if they’re incredibly hard to get through.

I’ve had everyone tell me I’m working too hard. It’s having a really negative affect on me to dwell on how much I’m not doing. So I’ve tried to shift my focus into doing a little at a time. Short sprints instead of marathons of commitment and time. And I record my to do lists all in one place, and cross them off as I do things. How much I do doesn’t matter, so long as I eventually do something. And I always do. And as things get crossed off, I try to celebrate and acknowledge my productivity. A lot of times this just requires patience. Patience with my body, and patience with others who don’t understand that my pace is different.

Reading this comment helped me a lot. How much I do doesn't matter as long as I eventually do something! You're completely correct. Guilt is the worst.

I haven’t found a satisfying solution for getting more energy but I try to focus on motivating myself by using my very limited energy for the things I enjoy and matter the most. If I can only do 1 thing a day I try to pick the best option to make sure I didn’t waste it. It might not be the most effective but it’s better than doing nothing. If you do the easiest/favorite things for the day it sometimes encourages you to do the harder unpleasant things.
