How did you know you had BPD?

How did you know you had BPD? I've brought it up with my psychologist a few times, but he never seems to really hear me. I've got all the traits, I'm just worried I'm overanalyzing myself.

I once did that with my diagnosis . However I was diagnosed with bbp when I was 16 . I experienced it since I was 10 . I didn't realize it till I was 12. But I also experienced psychosis from the age of 4 . I didn't realize it till I was 16 . My bipolar schizoaffective didn't show it's ugly head till I was 12 . It took till I was 21 that my psychiatrist diagnosed me that . I would say you will be diagnosed it when they learn more about you. Just don't mention it cause there the "professionals" the more you talk about your feelings and thoughts and actions . Then they will see what you mean .

My psych won't be straight on whether I have it. He doesn't like to label and says I have features of the disorder.

at first nobody wanted to give me that diagnosis as it had a lot of stigma attached to it.

My regular therapist said she thought I had enough boxes checked. Then when I had an intake assessment for services she agreed that I had BPD.
