Is it BPD or a Manic Episode?

I have been feeling very energetic, no need for sleep, agitated, restless, and no appetite. Is this bpd or manic episode due to bipolar type 2? I am diagnosed with bpd though.

bpd and bipolar are often comorbid -- i would look into some sort of screening for bipolar

hi there bpd has many symptoms that overlap with bipolar disorder. i am diagnosed with both bpd and bd2. i recommend journaling/ tracking your moods. i know how quickly my moods can go from one extreme to the other, and it’s hard for me to recall it after. ex. therapist asks, “how many days in a row did you feel manic-like?” me “I have no idea how i felt in the last week” rule of thumb: lots of quick lightswitches from restless to depressed, from less sleep to wanting to sleep; changes within one day indicative of bpd whereas longer term (week+) things are typically bipolar. it’s so absolutely difficult and nerve racking to figure out a label for why you’re feeling the way you are. if i were someone else talking to myself, i would encourage me to journal and have some extra attention to myself (have i eaten, when did i sleep, making myself sleep even though i don’t want to and don’t feel that i need to) i hope this helps in any way, even 1% better than before you read it, please don’t bully me or say anything mean if you don’t like what i’ve said
