I experience that mildly with Zoloft, but Effexor took the cake!

What are brain zaps? Currently on Zoloft, have stopped cold Turkey before but I couldn’t explain my symptoms.

the worst brain zaps i ever had happened when i was on paxil, getting off it was the worst experience ever lol. i read somewhere that fish oil pills can possibly help but that’s the only remedy i had found at the time!

Yes!! I actually opened the capsules and counted the little balls and lowered the number of balls by one each day to get off it slowly enough to avoid the zaps. It worked. I set up a bunch of pull minders so I didn’t have to count daily

No, but tbh I’m not sure the med works for me so idk if I’d experience withdrawals from it in the same way or not.

I’m weaning off very slowly mainly because my psychiatrist is afraid I might develop a severe depressive episode. I’m currently on day 3 no brain zaps but my mood is slowly dropping. I do take adderall along with Zoloft, and I think it helps keep the depression away.
