Seeking Advice on BRCA2 Cancer Gene Mutation and Surgery

I just found out that I am positive for the BRCA2 cancer gene mutation. Does anyone here who has EDS have any experience with having a major surgery or specifically a double mastectomy and fallopian tube removal? Did you have issues with post-op?

Each person is different and I have not had major surgery. But, I have hEDS and did have challenges healing after minor procedures. I found I heal slower and when doctors used dissolving stitches they dissolved before I had healed and my incision reopened. I found regular stitches that weren’t removed until I had fully healed works better for me.
