Bruising during HS healing

Does your HS bruise as it heals? I have recently begun noticing pretty large, deep bruising around my HS sores that are in the healing stage. I am not causing the bruising by squeezing them or anything like that, just waking up covered in bruises.

I have discoloration (purple scars) after they heal but I used to bruise easily when I was anemic. You may be anemic so the extra inflammation is making even a small bump or knock cause a bruise. Their are also a few other conditions that lead to east bruising as well as medication side effects so I would talk to your doctor.

thanks for your response. I asked my dermatologist yesterday when I was getting my steroid injections. I showed her the bruises, which look nothing like my regular HS scars or my steroid-induced atrophy scars, and her response was basically "idk it might be normal".... which was very unhelpful

Also check your diabetes status as well. Diabetes makes wounds or scars heal slower.

thanks! I wasn't diabetic or pre-diabetic in my bloodwork from 2 months ago so I don't think thats related to my healing at this time (although I do have other reasons for slow healing)

Mine bruise horribly. I'm not anaemic or diabetic, but they just bruise so bad.
