Burns and Fibromyalgia: Increased Pain?

Has anyone else found that burns hurt so much more than before fibro? Just burned myself moderately badly (2 fingers and hand near thumb) on my oven (it was about 375f) and I swear I feel sick with pain. Almost worried I've done serious damage

Not yet burnt myself, but found that any pain is worse with fibro. Especially on my period

I've found that fibromyalgia can make nerve endings more sensitive. Also, you're dealing with a higher baseline pain level. Everything tends to hurt worse, and may take a bit longer to heal

commenting on the taking longer to heal, I got stung by a wasp and it took almost a year to heal.

I burn my hands on the oven racks quite often, actually. It does hurt worse and longer than it did in my younger years. It seems like the older I get, the worse all my pain gets.

Nah I think it's fairly common with fibro. I got a mild burn on my forearm and it felt like someone stabbed my arm and left the knife in. It took months to heal and there is still a scar.
