one of the only useful things i learned in therapy was a breathing exercise i use for when i feel a panic attack coming on. breath in for 5 seconds and out for 5 seconds, in for 6 seconds and out for 6 seconds. keep going up the numbers until you can’t go any further. it’s hard in the moment to focus like that but it has really helped me

I remind myself where I’m at. Most of my panic attacks are flashback related so I remind myself that the present moment is my life now and although the flashbacks are very real, that I’m safe from those horrors.

Thank you guys I will be trying these , my body never wants to calm down during an anxiety attack 😥 . Maybe one of these will work out although I've try the breathing and it feels like I can't I just worry so bad.

Breathing exercises don’t help me personally, but I usually do some physical movement to kinda ground myself like tapping or fidgeting with a bracelet or something.
