I feel like so yes. I’ve been obsessive over others before, like an addiction. I feel like it maybe be because of my ocd with obsessing over things and people but yes I believe you can be addicted to a person

I believe toxic and abusive relationships can feel a lot like addiction/substance abuse. Especially with the itd be easier not to quit aspects. Though if you find this is how you feel about a non toxic person perhaps look into and talk about personality disorders spectrum. Bpd and dpd are really common to have a "favorite person" and there are ways to work on thatband other social things that come with it. Hope youre well :o)

Yes, you definitely can. & it’s hard to even realize it. Idk if codependency would be something you relate to but I definitely can. I’ve been TRYING to read a book on codependency by Melody Beattie.

I think yes and no. I personally feel like the obsession we have over someone is due to a lack of something within ourselves. I don't think you're addicted to that specific person, but maybe they make you feel like only they can give you what you lack. The obsession lies in the longing of what's not there.
