It sounds like an OCD tic to me. I️‘ve had one since I️ was 14 where I️ run my fingers over strands of my hair constantly. For a while my therapist thought I had trichotillomania but I️ never cared about pulling my hair OUT, just pulling at individual strands. It’s insanely annoying, I️ still haven’t been able to stop.

I've had this problem as well, I would always pull my earrings (mostly my right ear) to the point that it's split my ear open. What works best for me at least is a spinner ring, your able to spin it once or more times and watch it spin till it stops. Idk it helps me put my energy on a physical object. But of course everyone is different, and if this works out for you then great! If not then there's always more ways to control the OCD

I used to have tics in high school and later learned it’s because I was highly stressed without even knowing
