Can't Win for Losing

Do you ever feel like you can't win for losing? I rarely feel good or have energy to do much of anything. I have had a few good days this last week and actually feel up to cleaning house, exercising or going somewhere/doing something other than sitting on the couch. Lo and behold, I sprain my knee. Now I can't do anything because I have to stay off of it as much as possible. UGH! Eery time I start to feel better, something sets me back.

You are singing my injury prone tune. I have a hard time staying down and one injury turns into many.

it's so annoying when one injury causes more. I wish we all didn't have to deal with it! 💜

Life has a funny way of doing this every time 😥 If you're really feeling energized for the first time in a while, I'm sure there are ways you can use that good feeling without hurting yourself. Exercising can be as little as stretching or doing light yoga. Heck, if you want to do more I bet you could find lists of "exercises to do while seated" on Google. As for the idea if just doing something, I don't know what your hobbies are, but I'm sure there are things you can do at home to keep this momentum and not feel like your "doing nothing". For me, it's things like puzzles and models that I can just sit and work on for a long time and see my progress. But whatever you choose to do, just let yourself know that it isn't a wasted day just because you couldn't do what you were planning to do ❤️

thank you! You helped me remember that just because I feel good doesn't mean I have to do everything I have been putting off. I love doing puzzles too 😊💜

Right now, that is what I am feeling. Going through mother's estate(since December), have not been out of the house in 3 days(been taking care of sick hubby with his issues). Plus having to put ear drops in every night, feeling like someone trying to split my shoulder blade, my sinus issues, take your pick, along with trying to keep my home businesses afloat. This heat is for the birds though.

I feel for you! That is a lot to deal with! I agree, this heat is for the birds.

Yes I relate to this so much. Doing anything physically, getting professional/medical help, etc.

I wish no one had to deal with this! It makes it hard to do anything, let alone exercise. 😔

Cutting sugar out and eating a more balanced diet really helps me with this. I find when I eat poorly I feel terrible. I am surprised at the difference it makes.

I'm starting to realize this. I recently changed my diet: no sugar, no gluten, low carb/starch. I'm amazed at how much bloating/inflammation I had throughout my stomach, etc.

I can also relate to the injuries and having to sit so much. The more I sit the more my depression runs wild. Now I'm sitting all the time having to keep my legs elevated because of swelling in my lower legs and ankles but I usually have something in my hands whether I'm coloring or beading a bracelet or anything. It's the only way I can keep my mind from focusing on feeling sorry for myself.

I totally understand. Having something else to focus on helps. I usually color or do word games. Sorry to hear your stuck on the couch elevating your legs as well. Hopefully it won't be much longer. Hugs 💜

I can definitely sympathize with how you feel. I have to push myself constantly. I have low energy sometimes due to my mood

sometimes it is overwhelming. We all do our best to keep taking it one step at a time. Even if it's small steps. 🫂 💜

That was certainly my life you were describing... Sorry things are frustrating. Amantadine is a parkinson's drug used to give MS patients energy.. it gave me my life back.
