Has anyone regained full strength after carpal tunnel surgery?

I have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome, and am awaiting surgery. I just wanted to know of anyone else has been through the surgery and have regained their full strength back in their hand? I appear to have lot a lot of strength and I struggle to do basic things like open bottles and packets.

I have the onset but it’s not bad enough for the Docters to officially diagnosis. I struggle more with chronic tendinitis… but let me know!

Hi, I'm only just on this app for the first time. In 2009 I had my right wrist done and 2010 my left. Prior to surgery I had pins and needles in my hands for over a year, had no strength or grip and even had my hands "lock" in place so I guess for me surgery was the only option! But, due to keloid I do have big scars, however I have strength back (I went back to usual jobs where a keyboard is needed) and hobbies that use my hands like crochet and cross stitch. Prior to surgery that was impossible.
