How my cat helps me remember to take my meds

I always used to struggle to remember to take my meds. Then I got a food motivated cat. Started keeping her treats next to my meds by my bed and feeding her a treat every time I took my meds. Now if I try to get up in the morning or go to sleep at night without taking them she’ll start screaming at me. Works much better than any alarm/reminder I’ve ever used!

That is so awesome! That is a great idea. This can be very helpful to many. I do not have a cat, all I have are dogs, so I can not do this. 🙄

if your dog is food motivated and has a good time memory it may work, not as well since dogs don’t typically scream lol but to some degree. Like my dog knows when she gets her breakfast, midday treats, and dinner and she starts pacing a few minutes before and then will huff at you until she gets fed. She eats at different times then me though which is why I haven’t trained both of them

My dogs are old...the only one that likes to be feed is my big guy...he will let us know if we are late feeding him and either sit or lay at his food bowl. But he is handicapped and very lazy lol
