Nervous about my first catheter ablation

I’m having my first catheter ablation done on my heart soon and I’m feeling really nervous about it. I’ve been put on beta blockers and am coming off them after this is done. I’ve heard the procedure can be very uncomfortable so I’m nervous and just wondering if anyone else has had this done and what it was like

Hi, I hope that I’m responding in time before your ablation. If not, I wish you a swift recovery & hope you are doing well! I had a cardiac ablation to control my AVNRT & Wolff Parkinson’s white syndrome. I was around 13 at the time & am 21 now. I do notice complications now more than ever before, such as arrhythmias returning & more palpitations since it has been so many years since I had it done. I didn’t feel any discomfort or pain afterwards — I was fully put under & they did a catheter cardiac ablation. I just had some tenderness where the catheters were inserted & nausea/vomiting coming off of the anesthetic. That’s normal for me though anytime I am put under. The next few years following it, I felt fantastic & everything was great. I think it’s just been too many years since I had it completed & I might need to get another one done soon. You will do awesome & it will go so well I am sending you good vibes!
