CBD Oil Slowing Me Down?

Hello! Hoping someone has experienced this before: I've been taking CBD oil for a few weeks now, but I notice after taking it, everything starts to slow down around me. Sort of like a movie when there is a scene that moves in slow motion. It only happens for a few minutes. Does anyone else experience that? Or has anyone heard of that? It's not a bad feeling, bit it is a little strange.

As far as I know, CBD can’t make you high like THC, so what you’re describing sounds really weird. Did you have that feeling when you used CBD oil for the first time?

Thanks for the responses. Tomato, yes I did have that feeling when I tried CBD oil for the first time. Actually, it was the most noticable then I would say. It has gone down a little bit since then, but I do still notice it

A lot of CBD oil has trace amounts of THC in it. It’s hard to find brands that are pure CBD because it’s all really expensive. Maybe look into what you’re taking?

A few years ago I experimented with CBD, which I later found out was mixed with THC. I totally felt like I was living in slow motion, and those around me also brought to my attention that my behavior was slow. I have since stopped using CBD, mainly because of other additional side effects.

Sleepysleeps: Interesting, okay. I did look into the brand I bought before buying, and it said it had less than 0.3% THC. I suppose if that is true, that maybe I am just really sensitive to the THC in it. Obviously, 0.3% or less is a really tiny amount. 😅

Quinee: yeah, I do sort of worry that the slow motion feeling won't go away and I will always have that feeling if I keep taking it. Maybe I should back off of it then. Would be kind of a shame if I had to though. I really don't know of any other natural remedies that would help anxiety 😬

As a person with anxiety who's been smoking regular cannabis, CBD and now Delta 8 for 6 years, I can say, it goes away. Lol I use it mostly for pain relief at this point because my tolerance is so high that I don't get any mental effects from it anymore, but it still feels calming. The most important thing is to pay attention to the strain. Even when it's CBD or Delta 8 the turpines in it that make up a lot of the flavor, also contain a lot of the medicinal benefits. Sativa widely known to be better for being more awake and active while Indica is more sleepy and restful. A good way to remember is Indica, in da couch. I will also say though, everyone is different and I've met people who got the effects the opposite way, so it might be worth it to check and see if there is a strain listed and go with the other type before you give up entirely.

I once had CBD oil with about the same amount and one night I took a little extra for pain/sleep and everything felt slow motion because it got me high. You’re not alone! Just look into pure CBD brands.

Look for CBD isolate. It’s harder to find but worth it!

I've been using THC products since I was very young. There is nothing wrong with it unless it makes you do something stupid while taking it. Be smart, be an adult. These days I smoke before bed just to be able to get some sleep. Pills kept me awake, alcohol made me do bad things, pot is the only thing that lets me sleep all night and wake with no fuzzy head. I'm in California so no judgement ~ it's legal here.
