Excruciating Chest Pain - Heart Attack or Gallbladder Attack?

Uhmm, hello! So I went to the hospital a few days ago for chest pain, I was terrified that it was a heart attack. The pain I had was like a shooting, burning, tight, and aching pain that spread from between my shoulder blades, down my left arm, up the back of my neck as well as the sides and front of my neck, in the middle of my chest, and right under my ribs. The pain was so excruciating that I couldnt breathe or talk very well. When I called 911 I almost passed out on the phone even. But after they checked my heart and lungs and such, they found nothing. My sibling says they've had those same exact symptoms and pain and they found out it was a gallbladder attack, does anyone else deal with this and do you agree? Should I get my gallbladder looked at?

I would definitely get it checked out. It could be bad to wait too long.

I've experienced these symptoms before and had them tell me it was a panic attack.

I was diagnosed with Gall stones & had surgery to have my gallbladder removed last year. Right before going into the hospital, I felt pains throughout my chest. When I got to the hospital, they said that the stones were causing inflammation & pain. Definitely have your gallbladder checked!

I was diagnosed with gallstones too when I went to ER after two days with terrible pain in my right abdomen. There they gave me antibiotics and fluids and scheduled me a surgery to remove my gallbladder which I cancelled later after I felt better

I would get my gallbladder checked ASAP. It could be gallstones combined with anxiety. Good luck to you!

A gallbladder can certainly create some rough symptoms. I was having chest pain and shortness of breath, and pain that would not me to the ground. It was indeed a terrifying experience. I had my heart and lungs checked out and everything was fine. Turns out that I had a B12 and vitamin D deficiency (which can cause shortness of breath and heart palpitations), and I was having muscle spasms and pain from damage to my back from a car accident many years before. This was also when I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

Sounds like you need to see a gastroenterologist. Yes this sounds like gallbladder because I've been through the same thing. I tried to get help for it for 2 years and I kept getting turned away because they accused me of "drug seeking"...until I needed emergency gallbladder surgery because I was at death's door with a necrotic (dead) gallbladder! Don't wait around too long with it and go to a gastroenterologist, ERs, where ever, until you get what you need.

My sister died from gallbladder cancer because they waited too long to remove it. I got mine out the same year. You definitely need to get it checked out!!

Mine turned out to be due to gerds. But my parents had the same problems and were told they had gallstones and one had their gallbladder removed.

Could be gallbladder. I also get attacks like that because of muscle spasms and nerve issues due to back damage from a car accident. It is terrifying.
