Looking for Connections and Advice on Chronic Health Issues

Hello! My name is Erika. I am 23, plus size, and live on the east coast of the US. I have struggled with chronic mental and physical health issues for most of my life. I recently moved and I'm looking to make connections, as I lack friends in my current location which makes things a bit lonely aside from living with my partner. Earliest diagnoses were: Digestive issues related to being dehydration-prone, asthma (mild outside of exercise), and ADD Teen year diagnoses: Anxiety, depression, OCD Adult diagnoses: Spina bifida (mild), IBS, PTSD, dermatillomania, binge eating disorder Newest discovery is having IBS which baffles me because early in life, I was often constipated needing enemas. Never diagnosed until this year despite many doctor's visits! Anyone relate? Anyway, interactions are welcome ESPECIALLY if you share the conditions I mention from my adult years. Advice is great too for those.

Can you help? Connect today

Hi! I’m 28 and also have mild asthma, anxiety/depression and ADHD on top of some disordered eating due to the mental health diagnoses 😅 I also think I have some kind of chronic inflammation because my allergies have been terrible this year! Welcome to Alike, I don’t have much advice but hope you are able to get some relief!

I’m 27 and also have anxiety, depression, PTSD, and AN (plus some other things lol). I mean the biggest thing that have been helpful is therapy and really using my support network, but day to day I use essential oils to keep myself grounded. And I like to journal a lot. Plus using a creative outlet - I’m a writer - which is a good way to use nervous energy!

So nice to meet you both 🤗 @JoAnn I have been helped greatly by a humidifier for my asthma and allergies. Run 24/7. Highly recommend!! @CherryBunny I relate to EVERYTHING you just said! Though I'm confused what AN stands for?
