Looking for Support with Chronic Illness and Mental Health Struggles

Hey, I'm completely new to this platform.. I'm hoping to meet some people who can relate to having chronic illnesses, mental illnesses, and struggling on a daily basis. I try so hard to remain positive but I find it really tough when it feels like there's always a new symptom or new condition to deal with, as well as managing side effects of medication, not being able to live as fully as I'd like, and feeling like a burden to those around me. I hope I can offer some comfort and support to others as well. We deal with a lot in our lives, and very few people can understand how much we go through on a daily basis. If we can understand and support each other, that's one more positive thing to help balance out the rest of it.

Welcome! Nice to meet you ๐Ÿ‘‹ Totally relatable. Though I'm trying to stay positive and find that I'm appreciative of the small things more than I used to be. Having a good support system helps too, so feel free to reach out anytime! :)

it is really hard to stay positive, and finding small things that bring joy or small achievements is one way to try and combat the never ending feeling that things won't ever get better. Thank you x

I feel you. Dealing with cfs has been the hardest for me. Feeling like my whole 20's has been wasted.. I try to stay positive and as active as possible! It has helped me in a way though, to never take my health for granted and to try every single day to stay healthy by eating right, taking my meds and supplements, as well as enjoying my time with family and friends even more. Taking time to appreciate small things right?

that's the only way to do it, I've found. The bigger things get so overwhelming, especially as they aren't in my control. Baby steps, little things, it all feels very diminutive and makes me feel incapable. I have to remind myself it's not as simple as that.
