Looking for Support with Chronic Migraines

Hello! I am new to Alike. I was really looking for a platform where I could talk with others that are struggling with some of the same illnesses that I am. I suffer tremendously with chronic migraines. I usually have 20-25 migraine days a month. Some I am can still be half way normal but often times I am in the bed for days on end. My family calls it my bat cave because I keep it dark and cold. Anyone out there experiencing that many chronic migraines days per month? Thanks so much.

Yeah, I have a migraine / migraine symptoms almost 24/7 for a little over 2 years now, I'm 23 and started at 20. Prior I had migraines pretty often since about age 9 but not as much as this

I’ve had intractable migraines that lasted weeks, once up to 2 months. The pain is not always super high but even mid to low level pain paired with other symptoms (digestive issues, sensory/light issues, nausea, brain fog, depression) can make it miserable. I take preventatives and have an abortive that works half the time. After much trial and error i have finally accepted that you can manage migraine but you can’t make it go away.

I used to have migraines every day. Then I found out I was gluten intolerant. Ever since I cut back on gluten, I only get like 1 per month.

Yes this is my second time seeking treatment. I’ve had several types of migraines and still do. Combination of cervogenic, tension, and cluster. My longest was a 53 day long migraine with no pain relieve it at all. I had neck surgery not long after for a nerve impingement. I have a level currently collapsing and will need surgery again. I’m in nurtec and Qulipta currently.

My migraines got so bad they were 24/7 in 2020. Nothing helped at all until I was able to start botox, and while I've had amazing results from it my migraines still affect me most days
