Chronic Nausea and Stomach Pain Keeping Me Up at Night

I am unable to sleep due to nausea and stomach pain. I sleep a couple of hours then suffer until daylight when I get up for the day. No medication has helped. Nausea continues 24/7. I’ve had numerous endoscopies, CT scans, ultrasounds, etc. Still suffering.

I suggest a change is diet. A plant based whole food diet will help overhaul your digestive system which in turn may alleviate your sleep issues. Join the vegan diet for women on Facebook.

Does diarrhea accompany the nausea?

No diarrhea. I follow a very bland diet as it is. Zero gluten and very little dairy. Baked chicken is my go to for dinner most nights. I just had two tests…barium swallow and an endoscopy. Moderate esophageal reflux and duodenum gastritis. Meds aren’t helping. Just researched a procedure called LINX. I’m going to touch base with a doc that does that procedure. I need relief!!

Have you had stool studies? Cdiff, ova and parasites? Things like that?

Yes. I had C-diff twice before. I’m pretty sure it’s gastritis related and is med resistant. That’s why I’m going to check out the LINX procedure.

This might not be helpful but something to try: when I get nauseous, what always stops it is a large bowl of just white rice. You can add salt and pepper if you want but no butter. Just to fill your stomach with 0 flavor and no risk of it being undercooked.

I know you mentioned eating a lot of the same foods. That sometimes make me nauseous, especially chicken.
