Dealing with Chronic Pain While Spending Time with My Partner

Hey, I hope you’re having a high-spoon day. I deal with a lot of pain while sitting no matter where I am. (It is slightly better in my office, chair, though.) It affects my life in as many small, seemingly insignificant ways as big ways. One of these ways is the impact is has on my ability to spend downtime with my partner. We spend a lot of non-work time together in the living room. However, I deal with a lot of pain in my neck, back and shoulders while sitting on the couch. My partner largely hangs out in the living room because that’s where the T.v. Does anyone have any advice? 🧐🤔

Hey!! I have this problem as well, with my family (siblings). So far, compromise has worked. I’ll sit/lay out with them for a bit then I will go to my room where I am more comfortable. During that time usually one of them comes along and we keep doing things together. Then I’ll switch back n forth sometimes as well !! It’s hard but talking to your partner about it may help if you haven’t already done so. Hope it gets better !!
