When to go to Urgent Care with Chronic Health Issues and Pain?

Asking as a person with several chronic health issues, chronic pain, and a fear of doctors, how do you know when it's time to go to urgent care? I pretty regularly have body pain and stomach aches, but over the last 24 hours, I keep getting this weird sharp, shooting pain in my back that's not normal for me. I didn't think much of it, but now, seemingly unrelated, I'm having a lot if stomach pain issues, and a coming-and-going pain in my left side, that is also unusual for me. For background, this year I started finally seeing doctors about my health issues after putting it off for 8 years, and found out I made a bunch of stuff worse than it had to be by waiting. I can't figure out what constitutes needing to go to urgent care, or just wait it out like normal. Not sure what's going on with me, but it doesn't feel right

If you've got shooting pain that's unusual and debilitating/excruciating, I'd definitely go into urgent care.

Inside issues can easily cause lots of deadly problems. I almost died because I raped and had to spend a week in the hospital. Do not put off stomach issues and shooting pains. If you value your life @ all go get help asap. 💕 But seriously it could be really bad or torn really bad and you already hadn't issues listed. You can not put it off. Symptoms can get a little better at times but that doesn't mean they go away. Just because it doesn't bother you, it's still a problem. 🙏

My husband fears Drs as well. He ignored his pain and symptoms for too long and nearly died from it. Please don't ignore your symptoms, especially your inner voice that is telling you that it's not your normal issues. Go get it checked out. It could be something serious.

exactly, truthfully I almost died a couple years ago because the doctors kept pushing me off acting like it was nothing so I did the same after soo much disappointment but I knew something was wrong. I'm still not right years later from it and they still don't know what's wrong.

I hope that you’ve been to urgent care already and are receiving good care 😥

My mum is a nurse and I’m sure if I showed her this she’d say it’s always best to even ask for a “check up” and let them just sit and listen to u basically I have bad health anxiety so that is what I do when I feel the need I have to go and most times ends up being an easy fix the longer I wait the worse whatever it is could get basically hope ur ok
