Constant Air Buildup in Chest/Throat

Has anyone one else ever experienced a sensation of like constant air buildup in their chest/throat ? That’s the best way I can describe it. Me, my mom, and my uncle (mom’s brother) all experience this, but doctors have no idea what it could be. It’s the feeling of like really having to burp, and that does bring relief but then it builds right back up and often feels trapped. The only thing we’ve found to help is chugging carbonated water. It usually lasts several hours and is painful. My moms is more severe than mine, and early on she even thought she was having a heart attack because the pain was so severe. She was checked by a cardiologist and nothing was wrong. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this because it’s so frustrating when doctors can’t help you.

Perhaps Acid Reflux/ GERD? Try going to see a Gastroenterologist & they should have answers. Perhaps try Antacid for Reflux

I regularly see a GI because I have Crohn’s disease, he didn’t have any ideas but kinda dismissed it all anyway. I’m switching doctors this month actually so maybe my new one will be more interested in trying to help haha

Yes sometimes we have to make the switch! I actually had a friend say the same thing- he had to make a switch and they were able to pin point what was wrong with him- he has a successful surgery couple days ago! I hope your next doctor will help you.

I'm having these same exact symptoms... n I'm currently back n forth with the doctors trying to figure out what's going on. I get chest pains, nauseated and dry-heave till a giant pocket of air comes out. It's so exhausting.
