Constant Fatigue: Is It Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Just Sleep Debt?

I’ve been sleeping 12-18 hours daily for weeks and I’m still so tired. It’s like I’m missing out on life according to my sleep monitor my average deep sleep is 2hr 22 min. This sleep monitor is not the most accurate though because if I take a nap it does not consider that as me sleeping. I’m thinking maybe living in the city is affecting my sleep because my building is on a busy intersection. The new house is in the middle of nowhere though so I’m hoping once I move this will get fixed. I’ve always been a very sleepy person but that’s just how CFS be. Either that or I have the worlds largest sleep debt known to man lmao.

id honestly think that sleeping that much is part of the problem, not the other way around... even if you can't tolerate being up and about, sitting up in bed and doing low energy things like reading, mobile games, using a laptop etc might help. and setting yourself up for better sleep when you do, like with a sleep mask and white noise (some have headphones built in), relaxation exercises, etc. making sure you're staying hydrated is critically important too.
