Convincing Myself to Use Mobility Aids

What are some things you say to yourself to convince yourself that you need your mobility aids im having a hard time convincing myself to use them so I can comfortably leave my house. Growing up I was told I was just seeking attention so now I have this fear that because others have seen me without my mobility aids that they will think I’m looking for attention when I use them

Hi! I just got my very first mobility aid. I really wanted a rollator but didn’t feel brave enough because I’m young. So I got a cane. I used it the first time yesterday and it went awesome. I decided to get one when I decided I was tired of getting dizzy in the store. You should do it!

Hey Rainfallen, I believe the only thing you should care about is your health and your comfort. Don’t worry about what people say or how you’re gonna look. I started to use a cane a few years ago, and it really helps my balance and gives me confidence

remember it’s a lot more important to worry about how you’re feeling than what others think about you
