Seeking Clarity on COPD Diagnosis Without Testing

I was told I had COPD and the Drs. I have seen ( I live in a small town and most of the Drs. Or PAs are gone within a year) have all run with it yet I have never had any kind of test. Is there a test that anyone did that gave you this diagnosis?
