Find some people in class or your professor you can trust with your troubles and let them know what's going on maybe create a little sign to let that person know your in need. Deep breathing sketching. Go to your happy place. Think of something you can do for someone find a place in your school that can be your calm down place a place you can go to during school for a rest

I’m in college so I’m thankfully able to leave if it’s ever too bad. My anxiety is mostly from homework these days. To compensate, I always make sure to do my homework a few days ahead of time, so if my anxiety is ever too bad I can wait an extra day or two to do my assignment and I’m not forced to work through extreme anxiety

Make sure to communicate what happened with your professor/teacher if you can because they won't be able to hold it against you academically.

I'm in high school and when I have a panic attack I try and listen to my music and close my eyes for a second and it helps with my overstimulation.

when i get nervous or overwhelmed and either ask a teacher i trust to go on a walk in the hallways or i go to the bathroom just to sit for a few minutes :) also make sure to keep small candies on hand and water for grounding and have a trusted friend to help you through things. stay safe :))

I really wish I had known all the things that were causing my meltdowns in school lol. I had to be home schooled because it got so bad I couldn't go to school

I would definitely leave class a lot in middle/high school to go somewhere quiet, sometimes the bathroom or just sitting in the hall, and after i let them know what was going on the nurse or the student counselors would let me hang out without getting absents. Some teachers/other school related adults are better and some suck, but a lot of them will help you out or be understanding if you talk with them. Some teachers would let me (exclusively because it was against policy) to draw and wear headphones during class as long as my grades were okay, because I let them know what was going on and that it helped me cope. I’d suggest also just finding what calms you (music, tv, youtube, rain ambience, whatever) and keep it in your space while you’re working. Most importantly try to treat yourself kindly, it’s not your fault if you feel overwhelmed, it’s okay, and it will pass.
