I found that going on a walk outside and listening to some upbeat music or listening to a podcast helps me sometimes.

I go to places I love to be like the zoo, library etc. Or if I really can't bring myself to leave the house I watch really lighthearted kid cartoons from when I was younger, listen to music. Sometimes I just let myself have a good cry if needed also, and if it's really bad since I do not live at home I call my parents and ask if they can pick me up so we can talk and I can get away for a bit, or I text friends and tell them how I'm feeling and we will play online games together

I let my husband know first so he is aware. He checks up on me, helps more with the kids. I end up finding something to do to get my mind off things. Drawing, write stories with friends, coloring, watch TV, or games on my phone. I also let my kids now that mommy is feeling very sad today. I get more cuddles and love from them the whole day. Tell me to rest, bring me their blankety, and stuffies. Of course I still try to be there for my kids but just in different ways. Like I will sit down and watch a show with them. I don't do anything else. Or I have them color the same picture as me. I may be feeling depressed but at least my kids can still have fun with mom.

Being outside in nature, especially on a sunny day helps me a ton. Reminding myself how perserverant I am and that I am stronger each day... You are not alone and you are special. ♡♡♡

I find that taking a moment to accept that I’m having these thoughts, letting the pain come over me, and limiting that time I will allow it to effect me where I just let myself feel it all and cry about things to a certain amount of minutes. Once that time is up, I go find something that might distract me like a funny tv show. Even if I don’t laugh or anything it’s at least giving some positivity and light hearted thoughts into my brain. I think finding something beautiful to look at is helpful like going outside or looking at pictures of places in the world. Just admiring nature and the animals and plants around. Really helps take away from myself and more focus on the beauty out there. Antidepressants have also helped this because it’s more controllable. Before I had more issue with moving forward but now the depression has lessened. Hope you are feeling better soon! 💕
