Coping with a Restricted Life Due to Bad Health

does anyone know coping methods to deal with having a restricted life due to bad health. I'm really struggling, and I've still got more tests to look for new conditions.

I have breathing exercises, long slow stretches, and this app as well as crisis lines to help me get through. Haven't had to use a crisis line since I got this app.

Find a creative outlet. I like coloring, sewing, and quilting. I turned the coloring into selling preschool flash cards, and I occasionally get sewing/commissions. I make sure to let people know I’m a spoonie so my finish deadlines need to be quite a ways out.

I am heavily into beauty, wellness and aromatherapy. Yesterday I had a mustard & ACV footbath. I love finding out about new products and the people who create them.

Thanks guys for the replies xx I'm very creative myself but I dint mind joy in it atm as its just another hobby that doesn't amount to anything I miss working and studying. Also being trapped on disability benefits in the UK atm is diabolical x

I get being stuck on disability. I, too, miss working. I was a firefighter, a bartender, and a teacher. All at once. Now I am on disability because I can't work reliably. It sucks, but it can be gotten through with time. Accepting limitations is the first step. Learning what coping strategies work for you is the second.

If you like taking photos you can sell nature photos from home now, same for if you like to craft. Make journals or homemade paper, candles, little things like that. You can take your time and only make 10-20 items a week and just sell as you get them.

Hi I'm new here. I find keeping busy really helps. I physically can't move around a lot, but I have a ton of hobbies. I crochet & occasionally sew, & I like building models (Lego & miniature scenes) & on really bad pain days I like to read or binge watch my favourite shows lol
