Yes, I was diagnosed 4 years ago. Don’t know how I feel about that still. I’m kinda glad that I can finally name my disorders… Are you getting any treatment?

I got diagnosed about a year ago and I'm glad I got diagnosed with it but I still don't really know how to cope with it.

I am self-diagnosed, but with tons of research and monitoring my moods. Most people I tell don't get it. Therapists brush it off or try to talk me out of it. There is a Cyclothymia workbook on Amazon. I suggest getting it. You can also track your mood on the Daylio app. The graph showing my mood fluctuations on tjat app line up perfectly with the example in the workbook for someone with cyclothymia.

I was diagnosed 14 years ago with the old version 'manic depression', got re-diagnosed with cyclothymia 2 years ago though. It's been a long long road of wrong medications, wrong therapies etc. But I'm getting somewhere now under a really good consultant psychiatrist. There is always light at the end of the tunnel! X
