Dealing with Anxiety and Depression

Having anxiety and depression is hard I take prestiq for it but I always find my brain still races. I have a meditation app and try and use it everyday as well as other supports but does anyone else struggle in their day to day life because of it?

Yes, I struggle so much. I’ve been on lexapro for years and recently got diagnosed with hydroxyzine as needed. It’s debilitating sometimes

Ok, I have I list of meds that I've taken for this or that issue I have. I have noticed meditation helps but the one I love the most makes me laugh a whole lot and then I'm asleep in what feels like no time at all. I actually purchased the app after finding it for free on YouTube. But it's still on YouTube. It's called honest meditation. I know exactly how it goes and I still laugh. Basically, I found that regular meditation didn't help me quiet my mind. I had to have something different than the typical. I had to recognize that I have a bunch of stuff rolling around in my mind and know that I can just laugh and relax. Maybe give that a shot. Not everything works for everyone, but that meditation helped me to relax. It's really hard to explain.

I struggle with anxiety daily, but I don't think I have depression. I think I probably have ocpd or ocd, but I haven't had the guts to see anyone to get fully diagnosed. Idk if I'm scared for it to be real or be labeled or scared that once it's done I'll actually need to put in work to get help for it. Idk but it's hard dealing with thoughts you know aren't true that you just can't keep from popping into your head 24/7 I just try to keep my lifestyle as low-stress as I can & weed out any negativity when possible too...

For me, getting some physical activity improved my depression a little. I use an elliptical trainer and sync my steps to the upbeat songs in my playlist. It gives me a little adrenaline to fight it with, heh. The music gives me something to focus on so my mind doesn't run off without me.

I saw a comic one time that had anxiety, adhd, and depression as characters. Anxiety: Don't do anything without a plan. ADHD: Do everything without a plan. Depression: Don't do anything. So, yeah, it sucks. It helps to know you're not alone in it, though.
