I’m not sure if you have any other issues but I also have issues swallowing sometimes. I used to have the issue daily. After lots of trial and error with medication, I found it happened more if I was eating something my stomach had a hard time handling and also at the same time my anxiety levels were elevated. I take L-theanine daily for anxiety now and iberogast for motility as needed when food is hard to swallow. Ibguard and licorice tablets help my reflux. I did a low fodmap diet to help figure out my trouble foods

I have THE same issues. Clearing my throat, swallowing problems, subtle hoarseness. You have Throat Burn. You are past Heartburn and both LES and UES are open allowing acid all the way up into your throat. ALSO—you have allowed Pepsin (from the stomach) to collect into your throat & that triggers burning from any drinks/foods that are acidic!! Get the book “The Acid Watch Diet” by Jonathan Aviv. I have been drinking Diet Coke daily for 30 yrs—stopped last week! If you don’t change your diet—you will likely get Barrons Esophagus (your lower esophagus wants to be a part of your stomach = no good) leading toward Esophageal Cancer

I was read the Riot Act by my ENT doc…. Give it a try, 4 weeks: no colas, coffee, alcohol, chocolate, tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic, fried foods, fatty red meats (lean is fine).
