Dealing with Chronic Pain at Work

Hello. Today was my second day at my new job. I was in so much pain, but I didn't want to take any meds that will make me drowsy. Does anyone know any methods that help with pain for at least for me to make through a 8 hour shift of work? any tips or suggestions? I just started back working after taking a year off. I broke my neck , brain aneurysm ,and other chronic pain.

I went to the doctor once after a car accident and I wasn’t in any major pain, but they gave me a bottle of ibuprofen 800 mg. They do not make me tired but they take the edge off just enough. Arnot is good as like narcotic painkillers, but they do not hinder my job.
