Dealing with Constipation and Medication Side Effects

Hey everyone! So I've been dealing with constipation for a while now. This seems to be related to my fibromyalgia, but some of my medications (including a new one) has constipation as a side affect. Orginally, my doctor just said an OTC (Dulcolax or the generic of it), but it hasn't worked. It's gotten a lot worse with a lot of blood today. Does anyone have suggestions for managing it or if a certain amount of blood means I should go see someone sooner (don't see my specialist till the 25th or so)

laxatives don't usually work for me either, when i am having troubles i find that stool softeners are better. the pill forms work better than the powder for me. also, prune juice with a lot of water, stretching out my legs and stomach, laying on a flat surface and relaxing my stomach & rubbing it. if its been a really long time and causing pain i try to rely mostly on smoothies with a lot of fiber, so like apples and oats.

I use miralax every night. But when I can’t go, I use magnesium citrate and it may take some time but I usually go in the morning after!
