Dealing with Daily Vertigo: Seeking Advice

At the end of September I ended up in the hospital for 4 days because of vertigo. I have had it before and generally it goes away, sometimes with and sometimes without medication. I still have bouts of it every. single. day. I have an appointment with a neurologist, but not until the end of December. Has anyone else experienced vertigo this long, with daily bouts?

Sounds familiar :-) My tip is to try to see a physical therapist, they can teach you some maneuvers that help with vertigo.

My physical therapist has done dry needling on my suboccipital muscles in my neck it has really helped me.

I agree with seeing PT. They have vestibular rehab programs that are really helpful with dizziness. Have you been diagnosed with Bppv at all? If so, the elpley maneuver is very helpful! I didn't think I had bppv until one day I did the dix hallpike maneuver and had a positive result so we did the epley and it helped clear things up. Since then, I have done the epley a few times when dizziness come on and I can clear it within a week or so.

Yes, I have. I was in bed for over a week once...horrible!! No medications helped me but I discovered the Epley Manuver through a friend and it does help. There are also instructional You Tube videos that show you how to perform the Epley on your own. You may have to practice and do it several times but believe me, it works! It's the ONLY thing that has truly stopped the vertigo. 🤗
