Ive never been a parent, but i know that has to be even more difficult with depression. I always tell other to make sure you do one thing a day that you feel you dont have the motivation to do. When my depression gets bad, I make sure I at least put on clean clothes and brush my teeth every day. With children, i know that it isn't that easy. I hope you find something that works for you!

I also have been having issues with depression. I had some before I had my daughter but after she was born it got worse. I struggled when she was little to keep myself together. Thankfully I had a great husband to help. I have been through several medications and still haven’t found the right combination. In 2018 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia which made me feel even more frustrated. I think the thing for me that’s hard is I don’t have anyone to talk to that has been through or is going through it.

I took Cymbalta the name brand and it worked great for me for years. My body decided to reject it and I had to switch medicine. I now take Amitriptyline and Geodon for my depression and anxiety. I agree with AMWes. Start with one thing like brushing your teeth every day for a while. Then add in something else that’s small. Such as putting on clean clothes. Then add in combing your hair(or brush it). Stick to them try to push yourself to do these things even if you don’t want to. The hardest thing for me to do is shower. I am getting better about it but I had this mindset…if I don’t smell why do I have to take a shower? It leads to sickness and poor health. I see that now. I shower every other day. I am hoping to get to the point that I shower almost every day. I always feel better after a shower so that is my motivation for showering. I will pray you find something you can do!
