Dealing with Dietary Restrictions When Eating Out

I dont particularly like to eat out much, but when I do I get very overwhelmed and frustrated by menus due to my strict diet I follow to relieve my IBS symptoms. Any advice on how to remain calm when having to make specific request and always getting eye rolls???

Even though it’s not something you should have to worry about I know what you mean. I always start with an Eminem diss by mentioning I am going to be complicated before I even start. It gives the waiter time to pull out their notebook and provides a giggle instead of a glare. Hopefully it’s not your friends/family glaring at you cause that’s just straight up disrespectful.

I always look up the menu before hand and already have decided what I'm getting to take some of the panic/ anxiety away. An make a plan of what I'm going to say an ask so I come off more confident
