Dealing with dissociation after splitting

i have a question for any systems :] so over the past 1-2 months we’ve split around 7-10 new alters (which is A LOT for us) so, was wondering if anyones had experience feeling more dissociated and all around a lot more out of it as a side effect of splitting a lot in a short amount of time, and if so do you have any advice for coping/managing those ‘side effects’/symptoms?

Can you help? Connect today

We like to keep track of what’s been happening… naming/listing who’s joined for one, and if it’s a period of dissociating frequently then trying to lower stress levels in other areas and minimizing situations that take more effort/brainpower to hopefully lessen negative impacts. That was kinda vague but it varies system to system! Hopefully it helps a bit, and hopefully you’re doing alright. 💜

Mhm we have simply plural (if you’ve heard of that) to track everything and we’re pretty good at keeping up with it :] True, stress is hard to lower since we still live with body’s parents :/ but i think i have some ideas. But ye it did help actually, thank you for the advice :] Hope you’re doing alright as well <3

A lot of it is trying to take it easy with yourself and the system, sense it’s a lot to handle. Try not to bash on yourself or feel too bad about what’s happening, the feeling sucks, and is disorienting for everyone involved. It’s something you can’t control and neither can the system itself. Mostly you just have to deal with it, but having a ‘guide alter’ can be helpful. The job of a guide is specifically to help new alters become adjusted to their surroundings, the innerworld, and what’s going on <3.
