Dealing with IBS Symptoms: Bloating and Medication

Is it possible to have irritable bowel syndrome with no constipation and diahrea? Also, what medication has stopped the bloating for u guys? My belly looks huge like I’m pregnant. My doctor diagnosed me with that today, but still not 100 percent sure if I have that or GERD/LPR.

For me I had to figure out which foods caused the intense bloating, and I try to avoid them the best that I can. Raw greens are like the worst thing for my IBS, but everyone’s trigger foods are different.

I believe so. Some people on have rectal pain and very little of constipation or diarrhea. Having said that, I would say in my case it progressed to constipation followed by occasional diarrhea and stomach pain. I developed SIBO as well. If I had eaten low-FODMAP when my rectal pain began and controlled my stress, I think i would not have developed the latter symptoms.

In edition to my other medications I take, I drink Metamucil everyday. It’s nasty but it helps with a lot of symptoms bloating being one of them. I also take rx strength gas ex either in liquid or chewable it really helps.
