Dealing with Irregular and Painful Periods: Need Advice

I’ve been struggling with my period for over 10 years now. It’s always extremely irregular and very painful. I’ve tried 4 different birth controls to regulate it and my gyn just told me she can’t run any tests to figure out a cause because I’m only 23. Any suggestions? I’m desperate.

what does your age have anything to do with running tests? if possible, i highly suggest you get a new gyno who will listen and find answers for you. i have pcos and at the time of my diagnosis (around 15ish i believe) i was having a lot of the same symptoms. my doc did a blood test to confirm

Girl, find yourself another doctor! Only you can advocate for your own health, and you need to be assertive. I had surgery at 20 to determine if I had endometriosis (I did), so I don’t know what your doctor is talking about.

Yes! As others said, please try to find another gyno 🙌 that's ridiculous to refuse testing based on age. It's not like you're a child, you're fully an adult 💕 best of luck to you, dear
