Dealing with Manic Episodes: Seeking Advice

hi everyone! so starting off i just wanna mention that i’m not sure whether or not i’m diagnosed. my psychiatrist and a certain other doctor at a “place” i went to (don’t wanna be specific) have issues with eachother. i did previously have a bipolar diagnosis but the other doctor decided to remove it and such. it’s a big issue i’m working on currently. anyways. recently i had a big manic episode. i don’t talk to my family and live with my boyfriend. and the episode involved me scheduling an entire flight back home at like 4 am. i almost went through with it but thankfully didn’t. my boyfriend is aware of my bipolar and does his absolute best to try and help me through it. i’m forever grateful. i guess my question is, during manic episodes. does anyone try anything to keep yourself from going into a manic episode?

It can be very hard to prevent manic episodes, at least for me personally. What I started doing is taking note of any signs of mania/hypomania, and it's good to get a therapist to help pick up on some as well. Your boyfriend could also help if needed. It's good that you have a support system like that.
