Dealing with Memory Problems at Work: Any Tips?

I think all of us here being treated for epilepsy have bad memory problems. It’s actually been hurting me at work. I told my boss, and she says I should just write things down. I do that, but then I forget that I wrote it down, so apparently I ask the same questions repeatedly. And sometimes I don’t think to write something down because I can’t write literally EVERYTHING down. That would take up an entire encyclopedia! But sometimes I think I’m asking something for the first time, but I’m actually not, and it turns out it was in my notes after all. Or maybe not. Maybe I just forgot to write it down. Having a 💩 memory sucks. How do you deal with it, particularly at work?

I feel for you. I have a poor working memory and am often impulsive, so I forget small decisions or details that were important. I keep an inventory of the topics I'm working on, the status of the work, the next steps etc. Each morning I check the board to see what I need to do, and refresh my memory with my notes. The notes are maintained each day. Sometimes they get too big so I will start a new list with a different name.

How do you keep track of all of that? Do you use an app? I use Outlook to keep track of all my tasks. My biggest issue is with random facts, like “in situation X, do Y.”
