Dealing with Neuropathy Pain as a Type 1 Diabetic

Going to the endocrinologist today to discuss options about neuropathy pain I think I might be experiencing for the first time ever. My arms and legs feel like they are on fire, being poked with pins and needles, and ants crawling on me/ no matter how hard I scratch, it’s an itch I can’t relieve. Anyone know the pain or have any similar issues or recommendations? I have been a type 1 diabetic for 25 years and this is the first time I am experiencing anything like this 😥
