Dealing with Nighttime Anxiety

i often find that my mind is more active at night, I get more scared by the things I see that I know aren't there and I find it harder to rationalize with myself during this time. does anyone else get this way too?

Get it all the time. I try to occupy myself at night to avoid it all and struggle to lie down and sleep because my mind runs rampant

it really does suck, usually I just cover my head and go to sleep with my bedroom door locked but like..I'm in the middle of switching my room around and have been sleeping out in the living room and it's like not my normal and so I think that plays a big part in it too

Oh yes, and reasoning to myself with logic doesn't seem to help. Windows without shades or blinds hit me on a completely different level when it's pitch black outside.
