This is the definition I found on google Rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD) is extreme emotional sensitivity and pain triggered by the perception that a person has been rejected or criticized by important people in their life. It may also be triggered by a sense of falling short—failing to meet their own high standards or others' expectations.

I've struggled with this for SO LONG! I still don’t know how to deal with it. I guess when it flairs up, I just cry in the shower for half an hour and feel all the emotions that come with it.

yea same and unfortunately I have lost friends over it I do realize that they weren’t my real friends because I was extremely understanding of their boundaries and emotions but they couldn’t do the same for me but yea it’s really hard sometimes and I just wish I wasn’t like this sometimes

Hi there ✋ this is a huge issue for me and significant cause of my depression and anxiety disorders. Best way I cope is of course crying! but CBT (cognitive based therapy) is really the key. Mainly that so that You can be less hard on yourself and understand what behaviors are rejection sensitivity and what are just ADD or your own personality

I find that doing something for someone else always helps. By giving your time or simply complementing complete strangers takes my mind off my own depression. Look around you and see how you can make someone else’s day. Drop off a note to a neighbor and tell them their garden looks nice. At night I use the Calm app. I’m 61 so I have been through a lot of stuff. Hang in there it passes.

I try to be open and honest about it. Usually what we think people are thinking isn’t whats really going on.

I looked this up on google and I got a pretty good understanding of it. However I was wondering if someone could explain it better because I might have this.
