Dealing with Seasonal Affective Disorder and Bipolar Disorder

Hey everyone, I'm wondering what you guys do to tolerate the cold weather and handle SADD (seasonal affectiveness depressive disorder). UV lights? A bunch of heaters? Are there any medications that you take throughout the winter to fight the depressive episodes? I have bipolar and SADD makes it very difficult lol.

Can you help? Connect today

Are you on mood stabilizers right now? Mine have been pretty effective at keeping my depression in check, although they’re not perfect (Lamotrigine and Quetiapine)

I have a UV light on my list for the next time I get paid! I'm excited to see if it actually works!

Well other than medicine(which is the main important thing) and vitamins. I like dimming the lights and just laying under a weighted heated blanket and closing my eyes. Not to fall asleep but the comfort of someone holding me is something I do. Not everyone's cup of tea but that's me.

I can't figure out how to reply to individual comments but I appreciate everyone's comments. I will ask about mood stabilizers and try a UV light!
