I struggle with a goldfish memory as well. I usually set myself reminders or I won't be afraid to ask someone if they could repeat what they said. Luckily my partner is patient with me and doesn't get upset

My doctor has been talking about this with me. I won't do the things she wants me to do because my biggest fear is not remembering my children and grandchildren. Short term or not it terrifies me.

i also have a terrible memory. i don’t really know the cause. i have a hard time dealing with it. some little things can help a little though, like having a list of reminders on my phone that i can quickly jot things down that i need to do in. it’s something. i hate having memory issues, especially cause i don’t even know the cause and doctors that i’ve told are always just like “well, you have depression, right? it’s normal that you’d have some memory problems then” but they don’t understand the extent that my memory loss affects me. yknow?
